refreshing the cgi from iwperl
catorarn
ENV: win2ksp4/TS552SP6
iw.cfg
custom_menu_item_edit_unlock_file_and_dcr="Edit", "Unlock File and DCR", "sl_unlock.ipl", "all", "scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,width=0,height=0", "500"
sl_unlock.ipl attached
The customer would like to refresh the WebDeskPro workarea window to show that the DCR is unlocked
The customer also wants to make this script work for users who normally have no rights to unlock the DCR.
Is this possible at all via iwperl coding? Anyone has an idea how, what iwperl code could be used to get this done. Any tip in the direction would be more than welcome!
thanks

You have 2 requirements, different answers for them:
The customer would like to refresh the WebDeskPro workarea window to show that the DCR is unlocked
This would be some kind of javascript. I think if you searched the forums you could probably find some posts on how to do this in 5.5.2 (NOTE: The way to do this differs based on product version and UI, so your mileage may vary).
The customer also wants to make this script work for users who normally have no rights to unlock the DCR.
You need to have the script execute as SYSTEM, not the user who initiates the script. The only way to do this is to have your sl_unlock.ipl post to another script (or back to itself) without going through the cgi wrapper (iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi). I believe this also changes in versions after 5.5.2.
[obligatory version comment] 5.5.2 has reached End of Life. You should seriously consider upgrading to a more recent version (like 6.5)[/obligatory version comment]
