Package object values not appearing in 2nd Manual activity

Hi All,

We created a workflow in xcp designer 2.1. In this workflow there are 5 manual and 6 auto activities.

There is one object (pr_ap_invoice) which is the package in the workflow. Now whenever we are creating pr_ap_invoice object this workflow is getting triggered but the strange behaviour is that in the first manual activity all attributes of pr_ap_invoice are coming with proper values but when task moves to next activity all values disappear. I have checked from backend that component is still linked to this process.

Can you please tell me what could be the reason for this kind of behavior?

Hi Damian,

If you are sharing an xCP Project across developers,

1) You have to exclude the below from the Project folder

· configuration/

· gen/

· META-INF/

· target/

· .index

· .generatedresources

· runapp.log

2) You have to share the below files/folders

· .settings/

· Artifacts/

· content/

· lib/

· src/

· .classpath

· .project

· build.properties

· pom.xml

When task comes in the 2nd manual activity, below is the snap shot of dmi_package table to show package is available against process.

While doing analysis on this issue, i found that whenever user complete the 2nd manual activity one entry is getting deleted from the repository. and that's the reason why next activity is not having package values in it.

But i don't know why this kind of behaviour is coming where i have seleted "Visible at this activity" true for all auto and manual activities.

Anyways, as per your explanation all the package values got disappeared from 2nd manual activity. Could you pls provide the details

1) what you are doing in the 1st manual activity.

2) is it just a default process page or do you have any data service instance attached in the 1st manual activity? have you tried with default process page in both 1st and 2nd manual activity.

3) whether the object(package) is a document or BO?

No problem.

Here is the required details.

1) what you are doing in the 1st manual activity.

[RM] - Only acquiring and completing the task. nothing special.

2) is it just a default process page or do you have any data service instance attached in the 1st manual activity? have you tried with default process page in both 1st and 2nd manual activity.

[RM] - Its just a default process page which is using its own data services.

3) whether the object(package) is a document or BO?

[RM] - Its document package.
