I think I have found another issue with the iwextattr XML interface. If you try to set a NULL value, it throws an error but seems to set the value correctly anyway. Annoying....
Example:
# clear everything
> /app/suncom/iw-home/bin/iwextattr -c /default/main/
www.sun.com/web_site/en/content/WORKAREA/draft/download/sdm/index.xml# check for any current MD
> /app/suncom/iw-home/bin/iwextattr /default/main/
www.sun.com/web_site/en/content/WORKAREA/draft/download/sdm/index.xml# set a key w/ a null value
> /app/suncom/iw-home/bin/iwextattr -s -x /default/main/
www.sun.com/web_site/en/content/WORKAREA/draft/download/sdm/index.xml < /tmp/foo.xml1
Error value is not CDATA
# check the current MD
> /app/suncom/iw-home/bin/iwextattr /default/main/
www.sun.com/web_site/en/content/WORKAREA/draft/download/sdm/index.xmlsword-cats=
Even though an error was thrown, the metadata was set.
The input XML was:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<eaList>
<ea>
<key>sword-cats</key>
<value></value>
</ea>
</eaList>
