How to be a Documentum developer

Hi ,

I am new to documentum and started working on documentum 6.7 . I want to be a proficient documentum developer .

Can someone please guide me , what all components and technologies I have to be well versed to start with.

I have started with

Content server fundamentals

DFC 6.7

Composer 6.7

Process builder 6.7

I have good knowledge of core java.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

I have also installed documentum developer edition 6.6 and 7.1 on my 2 different machines.

My book is also available for download. It is dated (Documentum 5), but the core concepts are still valid.

Hopefully you can find something in there useful.

Scott's resources are a good starting point for content server developer fundamentals using DFC.

The direction for application development in Documentum has evolved towards D2, xCP, and RESTful services. While the traditional APIs like DFC and DFS continue to be supported, the new frameworks are also important, especially for new applications.

Jerry , I will star with tradition APIs as you have mentioned and will slowly go on to new concepts in Documentum.
