a. Any information about Advanced Publishing tool for D2 4.2 ? or any future plans..

b. Is Advanced Publishing tool of 3.1 compatible to D2 4.2 ? or not supported any guide which can provide compatibility matrix for D2 products (except CS).

Also, what the difference between following of Advanced Publishing tool.

a. docu48178_Documentum-D2-Advanced-Publishing-Services-Manager-3.1-SP1-Installation-Guide

b. docu48176_Documentum-D2-Advanced-Publishing-Services-3.1-SP1-Installation-Guide

To get the feature, do i need to install both or only services is enough.

Also, Do i need to install ADTS or not required / PDF Transformation done by C2 Configuration ?

EMC® Documentum® D2 Advanced Publishing Services (P2) Manager, hereafter 
referred to as Advanced Publishing Services Manager, is a Java application that:
  Allows end users to process Advanced Publishing Services publishing 
asynchronously.
  Can be run using either its Swing graphical user interface or in console mode.
  Can handle several queues, and can be installed on several systems, allowing 
you to balance efficiently your resources.
  Allows administrators to manage queues from inside D2 Client (providing you 
have Advanced Publishing Services installed).

Hello,

The latest version of D2 Advanced publishing is compatible with D2 4.2;

Yes, you need to install CTS to create PDF rendition, C2 to add some information/transformation on your PDF and D2 Advanced publishing to publish your different PDF.
