Dragging documents into MT Studio

Hi,

We're having this problem with MT Studio which is quite critical.

After we drag the training documents into our classifier, we actually discovered the training documents turned up empty WITHIN MT Studio.

Wonder if anyone encountered this problem before?

This will depend on you having preprocessors that are in sync with the file types that you are importing into Studio. If they are HTM/HTML, you need to make sure that the markup is consistent with what the preprocessor is looking for. If they are your own file types (your DCRs), you need to make sure that you have that preprocessor live. One other instance where we get caught is with PDFs that are really scanned images of texts that don't have any machine-readable text in them. These will also show up blank in Studio.

I would start by debugging these particular documents from the command-line using iwmttransconverter.

Thanks for your reply, it turned out that the file type group in the Content Processor has to be properly configured ie. If the training documents
are .txt extension, it will have to be added to the file type group for your content processor.
We discovered that by setting the log view to "debug".
