Dear Mr Documentum. Why are your downloads so badly organised? Perhaps as a Xmas present to the community you would consider the following suggestions:
1. Retain more patch versions of software. Its not helpful that when I search for xCPDesigner 2.0 I only get the option of the base version or the latest patch. Often we want to download a specific patch.
2. All downloadable files should include a version number. Yes a little change but it would make a big difference. For example, lets say you have a file called xms-agent.war. How about you include it in a ZIP archive called xms-agent-2.1-p11.zip.
..and since I'm having a whinge anyway how about you consider re-structuring some of your documentation? xMS for example.. I am guessing that 99% of xMS implementations do not use the provisioning features. So perhaps you modify the installation document to address the common use case first. A separate cut down Quick Start document would be useful. Chapter 1 Install xMS Agent, Chapter 2 Register environments (and change xMS data dir!) Chapter 3 Job done, put the kettle on.
Regards
Mark
