Hello All,
Custom menu items can be included, enabled/disabled in the TS UI via the UI_custom.xml and roles_custom.xml and make_toolkit.
How can an already defined menu item be removed/disabled for specific users? for example, the "About" , "Help" links.
Please advice.
Reagards,

This has been posted about before - but ...
You need to delete the OOTB menu items in the ui_custom.xml file, then add in your own custom-versions of them (use the reference files as guidelines) and add the OperationId to them - *then* you can add entries for them in the role_custom.xml file (and rebuild everything with the make_toolkit.ipl)

None of those command links (about, etc.) can be disabled for specific users. As of TS 6.5, the only restrictions that can be made are based on role.
that being said, you could modify the CC Pro and CC Std JSP pages (not supported) and add your own logic to prevent those links from appearing based on a user list, but that is probably more effort than it is worth for this.

OOps - my bad - didn't see the 'user restriction' desire there - my previous comment was for 'role restriction'
