System
The MetaTagger 4.1 release is now available for customer download and we are interesting in recieving feedback from the forum on the enhancements in this release. Please let us know what you think.
From the release announcement:
This new release includes several new features designed to make the Interwoven Content Intelligence platform easier to integrate and manage in a variety of business applications. Key enhancements in the 4.1 release include:
* Extensible Entity Discovery and Extraction: MetaTagger enables your applications to discover and extract person names, companies, dates, places and other significant entities using semantic patterns. Included in the 4.1 release are extractors for several common entity types, as well as tools for creating new patterns in a simple XML-based configuration format.
* Web Configuration Wizard: Configure MetaTagger quickly and easily with a new web-based configuration manager that guides you through each step.
* Improved Scripting and Development Tools: Generate and view metadata dynamically via MetaTagger’s new, web-based Metadata Viewer. In addition, new tools enable dynamic taxonomy import, export and deployment via simple scripting interface.
* Developer-Oriented Documentation: MetaTagger documentation has been restructured and extended to serve systems developers and administrators. New manuals include a Quick Start Guide for product orientation and Reference Manual, with updated coverage for XML formats, all CLTs and Java APIs.
* Enhanced Language Support: MetaTagger 4.1 adds support for processing content in Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Finnish, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian (Nynorsk and Bokmal). When combined with MetaTagger’s existing support for English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese, MetaTagger enables you to support content in 15 languages.
