Data deploy is not deploying DCRs with 'special characters' e.g. éê ... there is no error generated in the datadeploy log, but I do notice the following in the log. First two lines are generated by my perl script. Note the DCR name in the 'dcr_to_deploy' parameter going in, then the the same DCR name at the bottom of the log file. It seems to be getting mangled. I'm wondering if I need to specifiy the encoding (UTF-8) somewhere ... I've tried the dd.cfg with no encoding/UTF-8 encoding specified. The Oracle client, database and DCR are all UTF-8

Did you apply the various services packs and patches? So the special char is in the file name itself and DD doesn't seem to process the file? Actually can you attach the entire log file?

If you run the deployment without the param substitution, does it work? In other words, don't pass in the dcr name, just point the dd config to the directory where the dcr is... I'm just trying to narrow down if the problem is with DD being able to handle filenames in a special encoding. Or if there is a bug with param substitution.

We're all patched up to the latest 6.1 SP2. Yes, the special chars are in the filename itself. The name is also in a DCR field and is displayed correctly in the Form and the filename is displayed correctly in the TS CCPro GUI.

I ran the deploy without the param substitution. Same result. I ran the deploy using the filelist attribute instead and specified encoding="UTF-8". Same result. Actually, that's not strictly true. The log displayed the DCR name as 'PJB 4988 ??~0500004988' instead of 'PJB 4988 ????~0500004988'

I meant the SP's for DD... you said you are on DD5.6. Just want to be sure that DD is up to date.

What is the locale of the machine you are running the deployment on?

Version of DD. Nearest verstion string I could find was in iw.dd and it was

5.6.0 Build 14707 SYM Interwoven 20021211
