Google map widget is not showing document location in map

Hi All,

I have configured Google Map Gadget in my workspace ,Map is visible to me .

But when I click on the document from "document list " widget of my workspace ,Map is not updated and not showing document location .

I done below steps:-

1.Configured Url of "Google Map" widget in my D2-Config.

2. Map widget assigned in the workspace.

Please suggest any thing also need to be done.

Hi,

Have you set up the event on which the widget is updated ?

The event should be D2_EVENT_SELECT_OBJECT

You can also find samples in the EMC HR sample Application.

Thanks for your response.

I configured this event in the "doclist" widget but not working,I think I need some configuration in the D2-Config by defining Zone's,Countries , location and also require to map all these with "google map " widget .Can you please tell how to define configuration and relate my object type attribute "location" with map and any other information for this?

Here is how I set a DocList widget up :

- Create a DocList widget

- Content Type : "DQL"

- Query : "SELECT $value(default_attributes) $value(preferences_attributes) from $value(r_object_type) where ..."

- Check "Override event subscribe"

- Add "D2_EVENT_SELECT_OBJECT" event

- Reload your widget in D2 Client, by removing and adding it back

Hi Wilhelm,

I done these steps,Now my map is refreshed when I selects document but not showing location for eg. I have one object type "recruitment" with attribute "location" and I am passing "London" in my "location" attribute then map is not showing as mentioned in attribute .

I used below URL in the map widget configuration:-

$GADGET_SERVER/gadgets/ifr?url=$GADGET_SERVER/samplecontainer/examples/localsearch.xml&view =home&loc=$value(location)
