DQL Query help

Hi Experts,

I am getting count difference using following 3 conditions. Could you please analyze and help me with it.

Query 1: select count( d.r_object_id) from abc_doc (all) d, dm_folder f where d.i_folder_id=f.r_object_id and folder('/xyz',descend) and d.i_position=-1 and f.i_position=-1 and f.r_folder_path is not null enable(ROW_BASED)

Results- 5702

Query 2: select count(r_object_id) from abc_doc (all) where i_cabinet_id='0c00000xxxxxxxxx'

Results: 3869

Query 3: select count(r_object_id) from abc_doc(all) where folder('/xyz',descend)

Results: 5702

Can u please explain me why the difference is coming.

is your cabinet 'xyz [in 1 and 3 query]' r_object_id is '0c00000xxxxxxxxx' in your 2nd query?

Yes the cabinet name is 'xyz[in 1st and 3rd query]' and '0c00000xxxxxxxxx' is the cabinet id for the same cabinet name.

So running the query with cabinet name and cabinet id is giving different results. Please help.

Query 2 will not return the objects which are linked, whereas 1 and 3 will return those as well.

i_folder_id is a repeating attribute whereas i_cabinet_id is not.
