Is there a way to customize the Existing Files link in the task details screen to show the STAGING area contents. so that the user can attach the files present in the staging area to the task.

Why would you want to attach files in the staging area to your task? What is the use case you are trying to solve?

Requirement is something like this....

Editor approves the content in the workarea thro the workflow and the content is moved to staging and thro another workflow initiated by admin files should be selected from the staging should be deployed to webserver....

It seems then that the areavpath of the task in question should be set to the STAGING area. If that is done, I would expect the file selection GUI to show STAGING files.
