What are non content objects?

Hi All,

I am starting out with the basics of Documentum. I was going through the documentation and came across something called as non content objects. Was just curious to know what are those? What kind of objects gets classified as non content objects? Aplogies if the question seems a bit silly.

Non content objects are documentum objects which cannot hold a content : for exemple a dm_acl. In fact, all objects that don't extend dm_sysobject are non content objects.
