OD 6.0.2 - Parsing OD log to generate filelist

I need to invoke a DNR script( for e.g <OD60HOME>/solutions/perl/iwxmltest.ipl ) within my OpenDeploy 6.0.2 Configuration .This DNR script will parse the OD 6.0.2 Deployment Information Stream log to generate the list of files which are deployed (i.e successful, failed,deleted etc.) .

This filelist will be feed into the DataDeploy script, i have for the metadata deployment to database.

I need to know how to invoke the DNR script within the deployment configuration .I am looking for the syntax within <deployNRun> ....... </deployNRun>

I know what should be there within the <deployNRun> ...</deployNRun> but i am specifically looking to invoke a script to parse the Deployment Information Stream.

I have attached the script ( see attached iwxmltest.pl ) with this reply .I want to know is there anything wrong with
a) the script i.e iwxmltest.pl
b)its invocation within the <script cmd=" ".../>

Any quick example will be of great help.

Just glancing at the script - it looks like it should work - is it not doing so?
Have you tried first just reading stdin and logging the output to verify the data (if any) you are getting? i.e.:if (open(OUT, '>', "/tmp/foo.xml")){
print OUT while();
close(OUT);
}This might help shed some light on the matter if you're having problems with your existing script.

Yes, the script is not generating the output when used as part of DNR.

Have you tried first just reading stdin and logging the output to verify the data (if any) you are getting? i.e.:


if (open(OUT, '>', "/tmp/foo.xml")){    print OUT while();    close(OUT);}

I have created to capture the stdin as you mentioned by creating a small script as part of DNR.
The deployment created a output file "/tmp/foo.xml" with 0 bytes.

Check the odbase.xml (or odrcvr.xml) to see how it is configured for logging - I believe there is a setting which might preclude the use of in-memory logs, but I don't, off the top of my head, remember what it is. If/when you find this setting and change it - remember you have to completely restart the OD server on that system in order for it to take effect.

There is a property attribute "infoStreamFormat" within the odbase.xml which is require to be set to "manifest" or "log" .

    <dnrProperties allowDnrExecution="yes"
                   infoStreamFormat="manifest"
                   />

I have already have this settings in place and i have restarted the complete OD 6.0.2 base server but NO success.

Did you try setting it to log and restart the OD server?
