what is card container widget in xCP designer 2.1

in the custom import action setp 1 page I found one widget name card container but i am not able to find the same inside the xCP designer widget section.

Below is the screen shot of the card container.

please let me know how to design card container in XCP desigenr.

This looks like a custom xCP accelerator. Someone would have created it for specific need. It is not OOB

thanks for your reply.

just right click on the application UI in xCP designer 2.1 and then click on new action flow.Then inside the action tab select custom import then click on finish button.

it will create one action flow basics.then please open step1 layout section and try to click on space after content type drop down. then see in the property tab you will find card container.

please let me know as the action flow is created by xCP designer automatically so please tell me the use of card container in that.

Card Container widget is used to maintain the number of widgets group. Here (custom import action flow) consider we are uploading multiple files with different types so each file's fragment will be available in the card container... when you delete the file from file selector, the corresponding widgets and fragment will be removed from card container same if you select a particular file from file selector the card container will show that respective widgets and fragments...

I think this requirement is not needed any other place...

thanks for the information. If i have to make an application UI page for importing document same as the step 1 page of the custom action flow then please tell mw how i can use the concept of card container in that.

I don't know why you are asking this one... because if you want to import a file you need following things

1. folder_id--> where you want to store the document in the repo

2. content_id -->file_id which was in the application server

3. content_type -->which type of content

4. model -->set of attribute (which match the above content type)

file selector widget used to upload files into the application server and it will generate unique id for each and you need to folder id by dynamic or hard coded value then content type and then same model also

after that you need to trigger the "Custom Import Base Content" artifact with the above inputs...

These things are quite complex and one time job so y we want make our UI complex simply use custom action flow and customize thing what ever you want....

Thanks for seeing interest on the problem.

In my custom import page i already pass all the information i.e folder id,content type ,format and model.but still i am getting following msg on the file selector."information needed filename.png.compelte the form".So when i am calling import action it is not working for me.

please let me know reason for that problem.

also in our application we need import document page on the landing page of application.so we are customizing.

please let me know if if you have any idea about the problem.

On landing page call the custom import action flow by using on page load event... it will solve your problem.

Card widget is not exposed OOTB in the available widgets section in the xCP Designer.

Card Widget control acts as a container/layout where you could be able to traverse across multiple pages, like suppose if there was multiple step pages created in an Action flow, there should be an behavior which can do the traversing across the pages.

Can you share screenshots of your configuration, because normally that error is displayed if something is not being set correctly like the format or content type.
