File access to more than one users
milind
Hi,
We are using TeamSite 6.1, solaris 5.8.
I created a branch with username "a" and group as "groupA".
Later on i added users "b" & "c" in the group "groupA", but these users dont have write permissions on the files under that branch.
The file persmissions for every file in this branch are "-rwxrwxr-x" and the group of these files is "groupA".
Can any one help how to give access to users "b" n "c" ??
Is there any checklist which we need to follow when adding users to existing group ?
Thanks & Regards
Milind

Hi Milind,
we have a similar problem on windows.
Solution: We execute a "iwreset" after adding a user into a group.
Hope, this helps...

Check if the users "b" & "c" are listed in the groupA or not using "groups b" & "groups c" probally there was an error when you added the users to the groupA.

Hiii,
I have confirmed that both the users are in the same group.

I have had a problem like this today. But I know that thiks was caused by the directory server's mailfunctioning. Generally speaking, there should be no problem if the authentication is working fine and the users were added to both groups and roles
