JSP invoking workflow ???

Hi,

Im working on TeamSite 6.1 on Solaris 8 platform.

The Delete function is customized and uses a jsp file to perform the delete operation on files. I now want to call a workflow from the jsp file to mail users about the deleted files. As i searched the devnet forum, i think this is possible, can anyone suggest me the possible ways of calling the workflow.

By using the CSSDK com.interwoven.cssdk.workflow CSWorkflowEngine or executing the CLT iwjobc if your jsp is on the same server as TeamSite.

I don't have any code that does this.
The CSSDK samples should help get you started if you want to go down the java route.
If you plan to go down the CLT route look at iwjobc and iwinvokejob in the manual.

Look at the Adding custom Java Code section of the TeamSite 6.1 User Interface Customization Guide and then follow Darren's recommendation. You need to create the XML job specification for your workflow and then call the CSWorkflowEngine.createWorkflow() method.

CSWorkflowEngine eng = csClient.getWorkflowEngine();
CSWorkflow csWorkflow = eng.createWorkflow(xmlSpec);

xml spec is the job description file.

To use

CSWorkflow csWorkflow = eng.createWorkflow(xmlSpec);

should i include or import any other files into the jsp page. Also for xmlSpec i can refer to a location where the spec is right ???
Im a bit confused ...pls help

Have you read the user interface customization guide? It spells this all out. Take a look at it and then let the group know what specific questions you have. It is relatively easy to do.
