Sun One Portal Integration?
bewald
We are looking to integrate Interwoven with the Sun One Portal (v 6.2).
Reading a Solution Brief published by Sun, it indicates the following:
“the Interwoven platform works with the Sun ONE Portal Server to provide each user with a personalized, virtual version of the destination Web Site. With this feature, users can virtualize, review, and modify prototype content exactly as it will appear, before publishing it to the destination server or a physical location within network.”
Does Interwoven have any hooks into the Sun ONE Portal? Is the quote above simply describing TeamSite? If so, how does Interwoven virtualize the Sun portlets and channels?
Lastly, does Interwoven need to reside on the Sun ONE application server?
Thanks!

There are two ways to think about TeamSite portal integration
- a one way deployment of content from TeamSite to a Portal Server (in this case the Sun One Portal Server). This can be achived through OpenDeploy (and the DataDeploy module) where content can be deployed from TeamSite to the portal repository.
- accessing TeamSite functionality through portlets that are deployed on the Portal server. This is the TeamPortal module that allows for contributors to access the portlets and interact with the ContentCenter application from the portal server.
At this time, there is no certified support for the TeamPortal portlets to run on the Sun One Portal Server. You could however, build your own portlets using CSSDK to communicate back to the TeamSite server.
