dqMan is not working with CS 7.2 .

Hello ,

I have a dqman setup installed and working fine with my repo .

I have installed fresh server with CS 7.2 and I noticed that I am not able to login using dqMan with dmadmin password .

I am able to login to da with no errors .

I am getting login failure error message .

Give this a try in your dmcl.ini in case you are using it:

[DMAPI_CONFIGURATION]

secure_connect_default=try_secure_first

Have you updated the dfc runtime in the machine running dqman? I'm using it without problems.

Hi.

I'm using dqMan 6.0. Everything was working fine until the windows update. After that, dqMan stopped to work. I already tried uninstall dqMan and DFC Runtime Environment, but nothing.

I be able to run If I swap the dmcl.dll to dmcl40.dll, but with this aprroach I can only get access to one repository at a time. Anyone know how can I connect to multiple repositories/host?

Using dmcl.dll dqMan close after double click in the exe file. So I try run in command line using this dqMan > out.txt and the output was "Error occurred during initialization of VM java/lang/NoClassDefFoundError: java/lang/Object". This is the same error generated by command dqDQL -ftest.dql -u... -p... -r... -ForceDMCL

Anyone knows how to solve this issue?

Does java -version in a cmd fail with the same error? I've seen that noclassdefdounderror in corrupted java installs or when there is a problem with the classpath (i.e. oracle products modifyng %PATH% with their own jdk)

btw, i guess you meant dqman 5.0 not 6.0 (at least it is not availble in the site )

Yes, dqMan 5.0.

I found the issue related with Java. The problem wasn't in dqMan, but in DFC Runtime Environment. To solve this issue, I uninstall the DFC Runtime Environment, and delete the folder and all content C:\Program Files\Documentum.

The problem was the java delivered with DFC Runtime (C:\Program Files\Documentum\java). Doing java-version under this path C:\Program Files\Documentum\java\1.7.0_72\bin I'm getting the same error "Error occurred during initialization of VM java/lang/NoClassDefFoundError: java/lang/Object."

I had to delete all content under C:\Program Files\Documentum\, because the uninstaller do not be able to do.

I've tried;

- Forcing dmcl40.dll

- Installing DFC 6.7 SP2, adding it to the classpath

It seems that DqMan won't work with a fresh install of CS 7.2+

It works, but you need an old dmcl40.dll (+100kb in size, 32bit) instead of the new ones (<100kb, 64bit) that were bundled with DFC from dctm 6.6 (I think) onwards

Have installed DFC successfully. dfc.properties file is present and also i have copied dmcl.dll file in c:\Windows folder but still the repository doesnt load when i open DqMan.

I also tried ForceDMCL option but still the same.

Can anyone help what could be the issue here?
