What SAN configuration are you using?

Hi everyone,

Wondering if you guys could share your SAN (Storage Area Network) settings; for example:

1. Cache Setting

2. Segment Size

3. What RAID (5 or 10) on SAN with fiber channel

I've had a look at the install and admin guides that do have some recommedations for RAID settings but nothing for other configurations.

We're on WIN2K, TS 6.1

We are using a network appliance san solution using RAID 5. I am not sure about your first 2 questions though.

Our SAN expert tells me that he can actually configure the SAN drive so it will be optimized for the type of data that will be stored there.

Cache size and segment size are 2 settings that can be modified.
