BrowseFoldersDlg
System
I want to allow users to browse for a folder within a workspace using My Matters or Matter Worklist
I have tried using the example (VB6) in the using Worksite SDKs manual to use the browse folders dialog using the IIntegrationDlg.BrowseFoldersDlg. I want to display the Matter Worklist and My Matters in this dialog rather than a view of the worksite explorer, with databases and workspaces. Is this possible?
I have tried using the imanextlib.BrowseFoldersCmd and this displays the correct view of My Matters and Matter Worklist, but the contextitem "DestinationObject" only returns the workspace selected, not the exact folder selected.
Any ideas.

to utilise the enhanced browser dialog you need to reference the IMANEXT2Lib type library (iManExt2.dll). It contains a new object for WorkSite 8.x: IManBrowseCmd
A description of the context items is in the "What's New in iManExt.dll" SDK documentation
is this what you mean?

If you use the IManExt2.IManBrowseCmd Object to show a browse dialog, you may use the IManExt2.BrowseCmd.SelectedObjects ContextItems to query for the folder user has selected. Then, loop through it and check it's true objec type to determine whether or not it's IManDocument folder. Like so:
' Returns true if user has pressed the Selected button on the browse dialog
If blRefresh = True Then
retSelectedItems = ocontext.Item("IManExt2.BrowseCmd.SelectedObjects")
'Set oselected = retSelectedItems(0)
If Not IsEmpty(retSelectedItems) Then
' Obtain a count of the items that the user has selected
iCountOfSelectedItems = UBound(retSelectedItems) - LBound(retSelectedItems)
' Determine if there are items selected
If iCountOfSelectedItems >= 0 Then
MsgBox "User has selected " & (iCountOfSelectedItems + 1) & " item(s)."
' Loop through the elements in the array to identify the selected object type
For i = 0 To iCountOfSelectedItems
Set oselected = retSelectedItems(i)
iObjType = oselected.ObjectType.ObjectType
Select Case iObjType
Case imTypeDocument
MsgBox "Item " & (i + 1) & " is a document."
Case imTypeDocumentFolder
MsgBox "Item " & (i + 1) & " is a document folder."
Case imTypeFavoritesFolder
MsgBox "Item " & (i + 1) & " is a favorite folder."
Case imTypeSubscriptionFolder
MsgBox "Item " & (i + 1) & " is a subscription folder."
Case imTypeWorkspace
MsgBox "Item " & (i + 1) & " is a workspace."
Case Else
MsgBox "Check which object type item " & (i + 1) & " is through imObjectType Enum."
End Select
Next i
End If
End If
End If
