Heath check utility for Documentum in Linux OS

Hello Experts,

Can anyone provide any info on any utility to monitor heath status of the documentum processes[eg : Documentum services like docbase, application server, JMS, index server monitoring say up or down] in Linux OS.

If someone has worked on any such utility or have got any useful links kindly share the details.

I have a monitoring utility that works in a Windows environment (see HTA Monitor for InputAccel and Documentum with an update to the code here HTA Monitor Update). I know that doesn't help you much. I have prototyped a similar utility in Linux, but Linux is a little more difficult because it doesn't provide the same access to monitor processes as Windows does. I can give you what I have if you are interested.

A little different kind of health check can be obtained from the DRX utility: http://sourceforge.net/projects/drxproj.

Hello Scott,

The information you have provided were really nice and yes I have used the HTA application but for Windows OS. As you have told you have prototyped the HTA application for Linux OS.

I will be interested to understand the changes you have done to the HTA for Linux OS so, can you please share me the code for the same?

That's right, I didn't even think of Nagios. Along the same lines, Revielle offers a nice solution too.
