D2 4.5 - launchApp action

Hi,

I'm trying to configure a 'launchApp' method on a button in custom property page as follows:

Nothing happens after the button is pressed.

D2 Admin guide tells to enable canUseAdminInLaunchApp parameter in D2-Client.properties: since that file is no more present in D" 4.5, I've tried to add the parameter in DFS.properties, is it correct?

Is that action type still supported in D2 4.5?

Are there other ways to launch a client exe? I need to execute a program on the client to acquire an image through a signature device.

Hi Andrea,

I also tried the same , but as in old version 4.0 to 4.2 , In D2 4.5 its not supported to add custom actions because at page number 38 of D2 4.5 Administration guide, its clearly mentioned that is only supported in D2 3.1.

Are there other ways to trigger something on the client side? I am also trying to make a check-out using a custom menu entry: the local program can have a directory watcher that looks for new/updated files in the folder configured. The problem is that I don't have a document with an attachment so I'm not able to do the checkout operation.
