D2 workspaces and user groups

Hi,

I need to create different D2 workspaces for different user groups as showed in the picture:

With this matrix configuration I have the problem that if a user belongs to both Group A and Group B, he can see only workspace 1. What's the configuration pattern to resolve that? The example is a semplification, I have many more groups and workspaces, so I cannot create another context "Group A & B".

No, I think there's no way because D2 stops at the first context match for the user. It's a notable product limitation since it's a common situation that users belong to several groups.

I just mitigate the problem separating the workspaces/applications in different repositories.

What version of D2 are you using? I believe in D2 4.2 you can create one workspace with multiple views.

Hi,

Create two context one for GroupA --- > ContextA and GroupB ---> ContextB.

Now create two child context inside ContextA named as ContextAB and ContextAA.

In context AB add group B.

In context AA add group A.

Place context AB in the extreme left and AA after that.

configure both workspace for AB and configure only one workspace for AA.

This is the same approach I mentioned (create another context "Group A & B"), that is quite difficult to implement because the real groups are not 2 (A & but more than 20!
