xcp 2.2 for more than one developer

Hi Experts,

We need best approach to use XCP 2.2 Designer for more than one user, i.e how to consolidate all developers work and deploy as a single application.

1. As like in xcp 1.x, how do we export already created objects and artifacts from existing repository to xcp designer.

In general it works somehow. There are some tips how to do it more efficient

- Create bat file to quickly clean temporal and generated files.

For me for windows it looks like this


del runapp.log /Q
del .index /Q
del .generatedresources /Q

RD gen /Q /S
RD target /Q /S
RD META-INF /Q /S

- Each time after other people create or delete artifacts run this bat file, restart xCP Designer, click refresh and validate button. Sometimes it is required to restart, refresh and validate a few times to get rid of build errors.

- Merging on the file level is better to avoid. In other words more than 1 person should not change the same file

- In most of the cases when you change 1 artifact, xCP Designer changes only one file, but sometimes it could change more. Like for Action flow, for Java Service.

About existing artifacts: it is possible only to import types. This function is called "Adopt types". All other things you need to recreate from scratch. Maybe in the next version xCP 2.3 there will be adopt process template button.
