Using metadata in extraction task

Is it possible to use metadata associated with an asset to rename the asset as it comes out of Mediabin via a task?

I've got some assets with metadata and I want to create a task that can:
> Download the asset in a particular format.
> Use a metadata entry to rename the file that is generated.

e.g.
asset: 12345678.tif
metadata item: "Description" value: "Big fluffy toy"
I want to download 12345678.tif using a task that produces output called Big fluffy toy.jpg

Is this possible using the out of the box software?

MediaBin Deployment Agent has this capability. If you are downloading in a "batch" mode, it might suit your needs.

But to finish the thought, the server and default clients (web, windows, mac) do not, although it would be a relatively simple script using any of our API's.
