xCP 2.2 comments widget

Hi All,

How can we use the comments widget for workflow notes/comments in manual activity page. I can able to pass the object id of the package document to the comments widget in process manual page and utilize it.

Requirement is to use the comments widget for workflow comments.

Hi Anand,

Relation between comment widget and workflow is nothing, Comments widget expect only object id, In workflow initiation page you must pass a package to state-full process otherwise it is meaningless, So better map the object id (which is going to travel across process) in to comment widget So that the end-user can comments against the object even the workflow didn't started.

Me too don't think is it possible but we can do in some other way like as follow...

Create an object when ever workflow get started then map that object to comment widget. if you map the package it will give the previous comments when the workflow start again... its all about your requirement... Most of the situations, The previous comments are needed even the workflow starts more than once that time we should use that package (best choice)

Hi Vinod,

Does comment widget only works with package object ID from workflow. Can it work by just passing the object ID of the document.

Problem is during initiation page no package is added into the workflow. We want to use the comments widget in Workflow initiation page by passing the object_id of the pacakge or any alternate method.

Do you know where we can find any documentation for comment widget to find out the limitation.

Create dummy object and attach comments to that. However they will not be workflow comments and you cannot query the comments by workflow. You need to get the object related to workflow and get the comments.
