Hiding cabinets from XCP content tree.

Hi all,

Is there any way using which we can hide the cabinets in XCP content tree.

I want to hide certain cabinets from user mainly System,Temp and Templates but even after making them hidden from DA (a_is_hidden == true), these cabinets appear in my xcp application content tree even for a user with none privileges and contributor client capabilities.

Is there a way we can achieve this ?

Unfortunately not, unless you customise the widget itself.

You can achieve that with ACL to my knowledge. There is also is_private attribute when set to True only owner can see the cabinets.

While a_is_hidden I available to use, the xCP content tree widget doesn't honor it right now.

Hi Nick,

How are we able to hide Resources, Templates, System, Administrator cabinets?

This will cause a lot of confusion for users.

Try this if helps, have a drop-down which gets populated with the required cabinets display as cabinet name and value as object id, and on change event of this set selected node for folder view.

Not the best way but unless you customize widget itself, this is what can be done. Hope its helpful.
