Do we have anyway to delegate a task to the original activity. This is incase a user accidentally accepts a task and he/she wants to put the task to the original perfomer group
A user can unassign the task I believe and it goes back to the queue.

Unasign - Will task back to the Work Queue.
Re-Assign - You can re-assign to the previous Group or User.
You can try it out in non-prod env
Unassign task is applicable for work queues,it doesn't work for regular tasks
The trick I usually use is to indeed re-assign to the original assignee group...
