standalone uds data deployment. NULL Value

I am working on my first standalone uds deployment. None of my attempts have been successful. I have read the manuals over and over and am truly at a loss for what is missing.

I have created the dbschema.cfg 3 different ways- one by hand, one using the command line, and one using the od Schema mapping interface and mapping out from a custom dtd. Then i used the Data Deploy Configuration tool in the OD interface. Once that was done I attempted to run the deployment via the command line.

With all my attempts my configurations are not finding the primary key value which I swear is in the dcr. What I am I missing. I have attached the configs and logs items.

Can someone please clue me on on what I am missing?

It looks as though the configuration isn't getting any of the values. Just for fun, what if you were to change the pageTitle line to read:

[size=2]< column name="pageTitle" data-type="CHAR" value-from-field="newsArticle/0/pageTitle/0" allows-null="no" is-url="no"/ >

I took another look at your config and I wonder if this might be the problem:

You have xml-source defined as your data source. This is kind of a shot in the dark but what if you were to define it as teamsite-templating-records instead, since I believe this format makes use of the newsArticle/0/pageTitle/0 nomenclature whereas the other does not -- but I could be wrong!

I have tried both of those and the reason i went with the custom was that i noticed in the doc they state "(DCT based on Interwoven 4.5/5.0 standards)" I am using a custom dtd based on 6.x standards. I did try to build a config by hand using the dct based configuration and I was having the same problem.

The od interface would not let me select that as an option and threw an error (i figured because i may not be matching the 4.5/5 dtd). Thanks for still looking though.

I think that DD is parsing the DCR using the IWOV style insted of custom. So change the xml-type="interwoven" to xml-type="custom"

Thanks a bunch! It works like a charm now.

I sure wish the documentation around this was better, but now at least I know how to get it working.
