I'm not sure about siteminder (I think it does), but definitely it does work with directory servers

6.5 does have an integration with SiteMinder - see Appendix E of the TeamSite Administration Guide.

Depending on your requirements it's not perfect though.

1) You have to install an Interwoven module on the SiteMinder server - your systems guys may or may not like this.
2) If you can't use anonymous binds to the SiteMinder server then the bind password is stored in plain text in iw.cfg - your security team may or may not like this.

[If your new to binds with anonymous binds any system can pass a username/password to SiteMinder to authenticate. With named binds only systems that have a username/password that authenticates are permitted to make authentication requests.]
