Custom attribute columns on inbox, max of 7?

Are we only allowed to add one column as custom attribute for inbox (with default of six), we can override the other six for our custom but is it limited to only 7? Tried adding another column but webtop won't launch with more than 7 columns on inboxlist_component. Please advise. Thanks!
