xCP 2.2 - How to configure validation for Base Content Attributes

In xCP 2.2, in the content object object model, Validation (not null) can be set on custom attributes using validation tab in attribute properties, which will be validated during import operation. However, how can the same validation be applied on the Base Content attributes, eg. Object Name, Title, etc?

Hi,

I think one way to do that is to create a new action flow for your object and modify the "Finish" button behaviour (Model => Navigation tab => Finish Button).

Custom validation done by creating custom import action flow....

As @Jeremy_LU said you can validate the attributes from navigation section. ("actionflow.<steps.custom_import>.widgets.fragment.isValid" don't forget to add this condition )

For each import fragment of all the content types, just add appropriate widgets and validate it.. it will validate.... since these fragments are loaded in the card container the xcp can validate selected file's fragment in file selector widget.

Card Container! Is this a widget? Its not listed in the widget section in the designer though ...

Yes, its not available in the widget palette... I don't know why? also i don't think its needed except bulk importing of document....

Card Container comes only when the 'custom import' option is chosen when creating the action flow. And something like the below condition will help validate the base type's attributes.

(actionflow.steps.custom_import_step_.widgets.fragment.Outputs.model.object_name!='') AND(actionflow.steps.custom_import_step_.widgets.fragment.Outputs.model.title!=''))AND(actionflow.steps.custom_import_step_.widgets.column_box.isValid==true)
