Source Type - Which to use?

Hi,
Can anyone throw light on when to use the different source types:
1. teamsite-templating-records
2. teamsite-extened-attributes
3. xml-source

I am only aware of these 3. Are there any more?

1 - is for DCRs - at least "iwov" style DCRs
2 - is for EAs from any asset within TeamSite
3 - is for XML

I don't know if "xml" style DCRs require the use of '1' or '3' or whether they're interchangable.

Presumably any more free-form XML document (that's not directly related to a DCR) should use '3'.

Should probably open a case with Support to file a bug against the documentation for not making it clear (a quick romp through the latest manuals for 6.1.0 didn't really shed significant light on the question)

The reason why I have asked this:
I have a DCR created with dcr-type='xml'. Using the datacapture.cfg, i generated the required files and tried to data deploy the file. But it kept on reading 'null' for all the fields.

I then converted all of them to 'iwov' and it worked perfectly.

Then, after 10 days of support cases and calls, I finally generated my own DTD for the file. The 'xml' content deployed without any hitch in this case.

After a thorough research of the files, I found that the dbschema generated by a dtd file contains an added '/0' at the end of each record. This is not the case if created from a DataCapture.cfg. This prevented my content from being deployed as XML. But it works fine as 'iwov' does not require any such additional suffix.

Maybe it's a bug, I am not sure.
