Problem deleting records using Datadeploy

How to delete record in parent table when the child table has the record?

Whenever i try to delete a record in parent table , i get a error as "java.sql.SQLException: ORA-02292: integrity constraint (constrint name) violated - child record found.

in child table there is a record refering to the parent table.

I tried to use ri-constraint-rule="ON DELETE CASCADE", but no change in the error..

you should be doing that on a database level. i usually do not get the tables created by dd but by some ddl statements. thats where you can add those contstraints to delete the child records when the parent record has been deleted.
