DFS Python client

Hi,

I am trying to create a Python SOAP consumer to work with DFS. I am somewhat unsure as to how to go about this. Does something like this already exist, or can someone point me in the right direction?DFS does seem to be heavily tied to Java, based on the SDK guide that I read; perhaps this is not possible?

DFS is dead technology! Generation of new services requires features which were obsolete in JDK 1.6 and removed in JDK 1.7

REST is the current love child. No sense in working with DFS, unless your organisation already has a significant investment
