templating.cfg branch vpath-regex

I am banging my head on getting this thing right but its friday. I need some help!

I have two branches careers and careers01 and both of them have the same categories and datatypes but the datacapture.cfg's are slightly different. I am trying to differentiate them in templating.cfg but without success.

templating.cfg only defines categories and types. What is the issue you're trying to solve?

How about something simple like putting a '$' after the path to anchor the end of the pattern?

vpath-regex="/default/main/internet/careers01$"
...
vpath-regex="/default/main/internet/careers$"

Interestingly enough that doesnt work.

careers always works. The problem is with careers01. It matches careers and thats the problem.

Btw, this structure is an inheritance and not self made

I'm still confused. How do you know its matching "careers" if the category and data types are the same? When you're in the careers01 workarea, are you getting the datacapture.cfg from the careers workarea? Or is there some other problem?

You might try
vpath-regex="/default/main/internet/careers[^\d]"

Yep, the Iwov-docs are very, very fuzzy on this. Maybe some Iwov-internal-f/m could give the exact details here?

Anyway, try a / instead of the $. I believe Teamsite matches the regex against a vpath that contains more then just the branch-location. It could
include the area (WORKAREA/yourname) and maybe even the file/dir location.

I am not sure ,even this is just a wild guessing.
Can u try by putting careers01 entry first and then careers in templating.cfg file ended with $ sign as mentioned in prev post?

Putting one ahead of the other didnt make any difference. Finally I had to go back to business and ask them if they needed both and to my relief they said no. Phew!

Thank you everyone for the pointers! This still remains open. Pro'ly will research it when I get time again.

I had similar kind of issue and able to solve it using the regex below.
