d2 default preferences not copying

We have a d2 application that has (as you would expect) a User Default Preference setup (icon, size of menu, download locations etc)

This has worked well for a number of months now. Recently we have noticed that now when a user without a current preference set (d2c and x3) that when the default is copied it is missing certain default values.

The extract below shows what is set on the default user settings - where as in the created set for the user these entries are blanked or just 0

download_machine_name [0]: default

download_location_checko[0]: {USERPROFILE}\Documents\CORP

download_location_view [0]: {USERPROFILE}\Documents\CORP\temp

portal_menu_position : top

portal_menu_width : 250

portal_row_height : small

Has anyone else seen this behaviour and if so how did you resolve this?

Have you recently upgraded/patch your system? We had an issue once where preferences were not showing up as expected. EMC support told us to delete the preference objects, so that D2 could recreate them using new preferences "schema". We did this and the preferences started working again.

Thanks for this we have put a patch in recently - and it could well be that - however its on the deletion of the user preference objects that it goes back to the "default" object and then fails to copy the information into those fields.

I think (as you suggest) it probably has a lot to do with patch release

I would submit a ticket with EMC. The patch may not have been tested thoroughly to cover your situation.
