Convert cgi-callout to onCallout event

Huan

I have succeeded in embedding the cgi-callout into my DCT. This callout is to open a calendar. Now I need to move it to userscript by using onCallout item handler. the problem is that after I select one date it doesn't refresh the DCR that I am working on.

...
IWEventRegistry.addItemHandler("/cms/location/date", "onCallout", openCalendar);
...

function openCalendar() {
var lanItem = IWDatacapture.getItem("/cms/language");
var langu = lanItem.getOptions()[lanItem.getValue()].value;
//alert("language=" + langu);
if (langu == "fre") {
window.open("http://localhost/iw-bin/iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi/new_calendar_fr.ipl/allow_past_dates=0", null, "width=200,height=230,resizable=no,toolbar=no,scrollbars=no,titlebar=no");
} else {
window.open("http://localhost/iw-bin/iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi/new_calendar.ipl/allow_past_dates=0", null, "width=200,height=230,resizable=no,toolbar=no,scrollbars=no,titlebar=no");
}
IWDatacapture.redraw();
}

What I found in the new_calendar.ipl is that the form_name is undefined. The form_name is defined as follows:

my $form_name = $cgi->{'form'}{'iw_form_name'};

after I changed it, it still doesn't work.

my $form_name = 'opener.'.$cgi->{'form'}{'iw_form_name'};

So my question is that in my case, how to refer to the DCR form that populates the calendar?

When doing an onCallout, the only information passed is what you pass...

If you want some help with onCallout dialogues, check out this tech article:

It includes a calendar onCallout script you simply need to register as the event handler for the item's onCallout event.
