D2 User access to Multiple workspace issue

Hi,

I am currently came across the following issue, particular D2 user should have access to two workspaces based on D2 context. When we login to D2 using particular user profile, the user only see one Workspace and SwithWorkspace option doesnot show two workspaces entry info, page refreshes and shows current workspace page. My question is, is there way to debug this issue and please provide any pointers for resolving this issue. Thanks in advance.

If you change the log level from the D2.log and the D2-JMS.log to DEBUG you should see already more information. Including the information from where you apply to in you D2 matrix.

Try and check these things:

Is the workspace marked in the matrix to be available?
If the you have multiple contexts scoped by group mark the workspace for all the groups specific
Is the workspace XML valid?

While selecting the workspaces available to a user, D2 moves from left to right in the D2 Configuration matrix. It picks up the first group-based context for which the user qualifies and selects all the workspaces mapped to that context. The workspaces mapped to the other contexts following this are not evaluated at all.

So, if context A comes to the left of context B in the Configuration matrix; and Workspace A is mapped for Context A and Workspace B mapped for Context B: then the user who comes under both the contexts A and B, will have access only to workspace A. The user's access to Workspace B is never evaulated since it's hidden by Context A.

Hence, both the workspaces should be mapped to the first encountered context for the user.
