y drive access is denied
dazzlad
Hello All,
Windows Server 2003 - TS 6.5 SP2.
Our TeamSite server was saying access is denied when I tried to access the Y:\ drive (mount) this morning.
I stopped the service, and instead of the drive disappearing from the windows list of drives, it remains as a local drive - it should disappear.
With the TeamSite service stopped, clicking still gives access is denied. and right clicking and looking at the properties says that it is a local disk of file system RAW with 0 bytes of space.
When I start the TeamSite service again the share icon does not appear and the OS gives the same information about the disk (RAW, 0 bytes etc).
From the TS GUI we can browse files as usual. I can make edits to non templated files using launchpad. As our datacapture.cfg's reference some perl files on the y drive we cannot edit DCR's. In summary any read of the mount fails.
Any suggestions really appreciated. I am lost!
Thanks.
Darren.

I know, that this is not the finest solution, but: Perhaps you try to reboot the whole server, not only the TS service.

Did u checked your logs, anything there? You can also manually run following services from command prompt, this might help you.
net stop/start iwwebd
net stop/start iwproxy
net stop/start iwservletd
net stop/start iwserver
net stop/start iwopenapi
net stop/start iweventsubd
net stop/start iwas
Thanks Nicholas

Another approach - if none of the previous responses help:
- Go through the Services panel and mark all the Interwoven services as either "manual" or "disabled" (keep track of which ones used to be Automatic).
- Reboot the server
- If the Y:\ drive is still there - it means someone probably partitioned the disk and labeled one of the partitions "Y" (I've seen this done)
- If so - you need to go through the Administration interface (I believe it's something like Manage Server or Manage Disk) and re-label the partiton with some other letter - then reset the Interwoven services to Automatic and reboot again.
