IWDataDeploy FAILED Error for config file

Hi,
I am getting following error while trying to deploy the contents on save.

ERROR:Config file [/default/main/internet/WORKAREA/General/templatedata/Doct/Customer/dd.cfg] doesn't exist.

[red]### IWDataDeploy FAILED ###[/red]

The file dd.cfg very much exist in the location above.

I can run "iwdd.ipl" script using the same parameters from the command prompt & using same userid & it works very much alright.

Can anybody please throw some light here if anything is wrong. Is there anywhere else I need to update any config file for the datacat/type?

First of all, you shouldn't put your config file there and that alone may be your problem. I'd be interested to know how you're calling the deployment from command line. Datadeploy definitions should live somewhere underneath /conf. You may create as many subdirectories as you wish but they should live under that directory.

Unfortunately thats what the setup is & is working fine with all other data types. The dd.cfg is there in the same location as that of datacapture.cfg.

Below is the way I am running from the command prompt & it works fine.

[red]/usr/iw-home/datadeploy/bin/iwdd.ipl cfg=/default/main/internet/WORKAREA/General/templatedata/Doct/Customer/dd.cfg area=/default/main/internet/WORKAREA/General path=/templatedata/Doct/Customer/data/_test_dcr myarea=/default/main/internet/WORKAREA/General/templatedata/Doct/Customer/data/ myfilelist=_test_dcr deployment='DeployDCRs' -Xms256MB -Xmx1024MB[/red]

Its through the script ("kicked off from "onsavedone" event") its failing with mentioned error.

Y'know, I had no idea it was even possible to do it that way (with the config in that location), but if others in a similar location are working fine, then...

What version are you using? Does the micro log tell you anything else? Have you tried prefixing the path of the config with /.iwmnt?

Not sure about the /.iwmnt will fix this the one which runs form the command prompt with the same user runs just fine.

One more thing.. I get the same error if I run the command using another userID form the command sprompt .. so looks like some permission issue .. but was just wondering as the others have the same permissions as the files here. Except the datacapture.cfg for this has a .js file which calls the "callserver" to run the external script invoking DD.

In short,
- it works from command prompt with ID : anc
- it do not work from command prompt with ID : test
- it do not work from onsave with TS login as ID : anc

any ideas

ok .. got this one .. it has the permission issue for its root folders below.
