Teamsite 6.1 install hangs

Hi,

I am trying to do a fresh install teamsite 6.1 on a server which runs on win 2K3 standard edition. The installation hangs when its trying to install JRE.

Do I need to install JRE 1.4.2 first and then process with teamsite 6.1 install or please let me know how to fix the problem.

Check the install reqs, but IIRC, 2K3 Standard is not supported, you need Enterprise Edition.

We checked with the Interwoven support and it seems win2k3 stnd is suppoerted. do u think any other componeent stops teh installation especially while installing java runtime environment

I have face similar problems earlier and from that time on I make sure JRE1.4.2 is installed before starting TS install and I havent had the problem again. You should install JRE1.4.2

Nipper is correct, TeamSite is only compatible and supported on the Enterprise platform for Windows 2003. The compatibility matrix shows this here (this link will only work with a valid support account):

You will definitely need the Enterprise edition of Windows 2003 to be on a supported platform. If you install TeamSite on the standard edition, it will not be supported even if you are able to resolve the JRE issue.
