Perl & DBI compatibility

The server is different than our TS server. I am planning to use DBI module, in one of the perl script I am planning to write. The perl version on the server is 5.005_3 (default version which comes with OS). The DBI/DBD doesnt exist currently.

Can anybody tell me which DBI/DBD module version I should be downloading/installing, which will be compatible with perl 5.005_3 version. Or can I use the latest database modules.

Anybody have compatibility details for this combination?

Chances are you will have to search archives and/or read a lot of documentation to find out which versions of which modules work with that archaic version of Perl.

Since this is not your TS server - you should probably look into upgrading the Perl on the OS (ActiveState if Windows, lots of places if Unix) and then you *can* use the latest versions of the modules - but you'll have to build them (see various other threads for details about this - it's not a trivial task)
