Is there support for SAML 2.0 federation protocol in Documentum so that it would be configured as SAML Service Provider?

I cannot find any good information about this and googling doesn't help in this case either.

If this is not yet implemented, is there some licensing thing or why SAML 2.0 (or other federation protocol) isn't included?

It isn't available yet, but will come soon in Documentum 7.3. in Documentum REST, we will provide the end-to-end solution to enable SAML 2 Web SSO on the REST API layer, where both REST server (interacting with user agents and SAML IdP) and Content Server (at the backend) play as a role of SAML Service Provider.

Tutorials will be post to the community once Documentum REST 7.3 is GAed.

    Regards,
