calling same external task/ipl with different variable

I am looking to call the same ipl file with different parameters from the wft file. How does one pass in variables? (eg.: at point #1, have x=1, at point #2, have x-2?)/

You can pass values the externaltask ipl's either as command line options to the script or as job/task variables.

Not certain on the question you are asking. Are you looking at the same script called from different steps in the WF ? Try command line parameters.

Or is the same step being called multiple times ? Try workflow variables, change it in the script.

1. If the wft file has the same task and same command but you have to change the variable value use the job variables for which the value has to be changed on condition.

2. If the same command is being called from different tasks then its simple to pass the values and command line arguments.
