Unable to create DCRs using "New Form Entry"

Hi,

We have TeamSite 6.5 installed on Solaris.
Issue: Users are not able to create or edit DCRs.
A lot of the menu items like "New Form Entry", "Move", "Copy", "Generate Page", etc are disabled. The users with "master" role are also seeing menu items as disabled. Also, the "edit" link beside DCRs is disabled.
We checked permissions starting from WORKAREA. All the directories and files including templatedata have permissions set to 777. When we tried restarting the server, we noticed the following entry in iwserver.log during startup:

iwmount: /iwmnt/default has previously been mounted. Umounting it...
nfs umount: /iwmnt/default: is busy
iwmount: /iwmnt/default has failed to umount
iwmount: /.iwmnt/default has previously been mounted. Umounting it...
nfs umount: /.iwmnt/default: is busy
iwmount: /.iwmnt/default has failed to umount
iwmount: Mounting /iwmnt/default...
nfs mount: mount: /iwmnt/default: Device busy
iwmount: Mounting /.iwmnt/default...
nfs mount: mount: /.iwmnt/default: Device busy
iwmount: Mounted /iwmnt/default and /.iwmnt/default.

Is this the cause of the above problem.
If not, what might be the root cause and a possible solution?

Check the status of the TeamSite store if its running using iwstat -c command.

The store is running.
Following is the output of the iwstat -c command:

I can also go the data directory of a data type and I can see DCRs there. However, even though they have rwx permissions for user, group and others, the "edit" link is disabled and so are the menu items.

Can you please help me understand the rootcause and suggest a possible solution.

You may want to open a case with support on this. If you choose to do this, please update this thread with the solution.

As Dave said please open a case and post the results. We had similar problem on windows. In our case there was a alternate derive on "Y". we had to check the registry for the iwmount on IIS. I am not so sure of how you are gonna do that check if your iwmount shows up on your webservice which ever you are using.

Support is a good idea.

Those errors are uncommon, however it appears that the mounts worked properly.

If this is a test server, try stopping TeamSite & see if the mounts go away
with a df -k.

If they do not, you can try:

umount -f /iwmnt/default
umount -f /.iwmnt/default

and then restart TS.

Like I said, I do not think this is the root cause of your issues.

Even i am facing the same problem
we have teamsite 6.5 on windows 2k3

we have given the user full permission on that baranch but even then he is not able to view the new form entry link and many other links also

these links appear to be disabled

but when any master try to see these links are enabled

can anyone plz tell why this si happening only for editors?
