Callout Issue/VFE....

I have a callout which basically goes through a data directory lists all dcrs in the directory and allows a user to select one and passes back an element to the open DCR... It works fine as a standalone textarea but as soon as I put this in external-editor="visualformat" it fails... I used the example from the templating developers guide to get this to this point... Is there anything different needed when sending a callback to VFE?? Thanks in advance for any help...

The error I am getting says Fatal Callout Error Did you close the datacapture window?

How would the user select a DCR from a list in the VFE field or even text area? Does it now have to be a drop down or multi-select etc.,?

No it's a cgi callout that presents a dropdown list of dcrs from a specific directory with the value set to a specified element from that DCR... That value should then be passed back to the calling DCR... It works fine with a textarea without VF activated but not with VF... Hope that helps....

Ah! Got it!

Trying passing HTML text to the VFE instead of plain text. VFE is basically expecting rich text unlike text area which is expecting plain text.

Were you able to solve the problem, I am also facing same problem.

When I print the calloutForm.elements.name then got the following list

iw_dcrVpath
iw_tdt
iw_action............

every thing works fine other than VFE.
