***ERROR - Receiver has rejected sender -- nack:6.0.2.0.0

We are trying to do a reverse deployment in opendeploy 6.0.2.Am getting the deployments as success.But i dont see any files in the target.

Hope some one would have come across this error.If so please help me out.

Are you, perchance, trying to do a reverse deployment between two Base Servers?

I just discovered last week that this doesn't work and that, in fact, the manual indicates as much. Reverse deployments, currently, only work to pull files from Receivers, not from Base Servers.

I believe there may be a FR for this - but I don't know what the number is - sorry.

Thanks for the response,Forward deployments are successful.But i have done reverse deployments between two base servers for a requirement.Recently they have upgraded some thing which is causing the problem.

From page 166 of the OpenDeploy 6.0.2 Administrator's Gude (emphasis added):
A reverse deployment allows new or updated files residing on what is typically a target (often a production server) to be deployed back to the source (often a development server) that normally sends deployments. In this relationship, the reverse source deploys files to the reverse target. [color=red]Unlike a typical forward deployment, the reverse source can only have the receiver software installed. [/color]

This has apparently been documented this way since the 5.5.1 release (The 5.0 release does not indicate this restriction, but doesn't say it will work either).
